Not really.

Will you be explaining how they are different?

@Jennifer, blended is content that is where all courses have content from standards from both licenses embedded within each course. They lead to dual licensure in both intervention specialist and grade-level.

I had a child who was on an IEP since 3rd grade and it was horrible... I only remember one time walking into an "inclusive" classroom and not knowing who was the IS teacher and who was the general education teacher.

I am sorry Jennifer. Hopefully we are changing that with blended programs.

Blended programs would result in higher expectations for students who are labeled.

An amazing group of young people! Ohio’s children are luck to have them. Many many thanks to BG and Marietta, and especially to Mary and Dottie for their tremendous leadership in advancing inclusive teacher preparation in Ohio.

My take away would be how important it is to use the language of “blended” rather than dual to represent the need to really view how the need is to truly reinvent rather than just smash two programs together.

I work with many teachers in the northwest Ohio area and ALL speak very highly of our BGSU pre-service teachers! So proud of them!

And I would echo Deb’s gratitude regarding the leadership that Dottie and Mary have provided as we move toward blended programs.
