We cannot submit early!!

30:22
The crosswalk for Primary PreK-5 is not on the website.

38:18
Shouldn’t reviewers have a common standard to follow regarding what they are looking for?

42:43
Is previous teaching experience required in teacher prep?

43:42
Tim I agree— this was the hope of the committee that provided feedback. We hope that there will be consistency for reviewers. IF one person is looking at textbooks and someone else is not, this is not consistent or equitable. Hopefully this will be addressed in reviewer training. I also think this should be more clear in the manual if this is the level of syllabi that are required, as the syllabus is outdated at most institutions since most faculty are using the LMS for most of this information as was stated by Jennifer

45:06
Tim I agree. Reviewers need to be told what to look for in a syllabus and people submitting need to know what will be looked for. I think this group needs to advocate for that.

46:53
I agree. I would appreciate clarity about the syllabus expectations.

48:56
For faculty, include all faculty who teach all sections of all professional courses? Instructors of content courses not in education? No CV’s, right? Any guidance appreciated.

49:33
We do appreciate the clarity of the Manual and the forms. It has encouraged us to be clearer with our syllabi and our links with the Ohio Mandated requirements.

50:06
Do you know when FA21 new program reviews might receive official approval letters?

52:34
The K-12 exper

52:55
The K-12 experience is also requested on the AIMS site for each faculty member

52:57
I believe the NCATE requirement was for 3 years teaching experience but that isn’t a CAEP requirement.

53:50
Have you considered the HLC requirements for methods teachers?

55:04
I can't remember, but if you do NCTM SPA, I think there is language in the SPA about teaching credentials. I'd have to go look for it, but that might be something to look at for language.

55:38
I know that the EPPRR group, when we were working on this project, were keeping in mind that HLC seems to set the guidance for faculty.

55:51
NCTM and AMLE both ask for these credentials

57:00
I think NCTM looks at field supervisor credentials

57:06
Can someone with the IS panel discuss the crosswalk with the different standards?

58:09
Ok, thanks. We’re waiting to advertise/promote the new program until official.

01:01:05
We have course "owners" who often teach their courses but not always. Maybe submitting the owners' information would suffice?

01:01:15
What about submitting Master Syllabi instead of all the various sections/syllabi over the year.

01:04:11
We have master syllabi for consistencey.

01:04:26
The BEST syllabus!

01:06:05
We just submitted and that's what we did, too Brian.

01:06:13
Thank you for the clarification! Appreciate it!

01:06:22
We are only submitting for education faculty as well.

01:07:24
Sue, I like your idea—that’s generally what we have done with the SPAs as well, identify course coordinators.

01:07:29
3.2B: Please list the faculty that teach in each program cluster; for most programs this will be any full-time or part-time faculty teaching courses specific to the educator preparation component of the program (methods, field, professional courses, clinical experience). These data may be maintained in AIMS (CAEP), downloaded from that system and provided for this report, or the institution can download and use this spreadsheet

01:14:57
That would be very helpful.

01:15:21
I agree! That would be helpful.

01:16:35
Common Template is a nice idea.

01:16:59
If it's a standard, it should be assessed.

01:19:42
Just a list would be great!

01:19:52
Agreed!

01:20:33
Like, your syllabus should clearly show: 1., 2., 3.,.....

01:21:18
Just maybe a checklist for SLOs, PLOs, and CLOs; textbooks and materials needed; standards and assessment alignment chart; course schedule

01:21:22
3 minutes remaining for this session

01:21:40
I like the checklist.

01:23:15
Thanks, Krista!
